KL Rahul, the wicketkeeper-batter for Delhi Capitals (DC), is back in action in IPL 2025 with a bang! After missing DC’s opening game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) due to personal reasons, Rahul has shown his class in the ongoing tournament. In just three matches, he’s accumulated 185 runs, including a sensational unbeaten 93 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at his home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Following DC’s impressive six-wicket victory over RCB, KL Rahul shared a special moment on social media, taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to post a picture that captured the essence of the win:

Meanwhile, his wife, Athiya Shetty, couldn’t stop praising her husband’s performance. Athiya took to her Instagram stories, sharing her love and admiration for Rahul’s stellar performance. Here’s a screenshot of her post:

In his post-match interview, KL Rahul shared his thoughts on his approach to the innings and how his role behind the stumps helped him understand the tricky pitch conditions better. “The wicket was slightly tricky, but what helped me was being behind the stumps for 20 overs, watching how the wicket played,” Rahul explained. “It was consistent throughout, one-paced. I knew my shots, wanted to get off to a solid start, and then assess it from there,” he added.
After this remarkable knock, KL Rahul has now entered the top 10 highest run-scorers in IPL history, currently sitting at the 8th spot. As for DC, they’re off to a dream start, having won all four of their matches so far. They are currently second on the points table and will face Mumbai Indians in their fifth match of the tournament on April 13 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
