Scene bana epic jab match ke baad dono players ke beech mein hasi-mazaak ka exchange hua, aur end mein ek warm hug bhi mila.
Flashback to April 10 – KL Rahul ne RCB ke khilaf M. Chinnaswamy Stadium mein 93* ki dhamakedar innings kheli aur jeet ke baad ek unique ‘Kantara-style’ celebration kiya tha. Rahul ne kaha tha, “This is my homeground”. Tab se log wait kar rahe the ke jab RCB jeetegi Delhi mein, toh Kohli kuch aisa hi karega. Aur wahi hua.

RCB ne jeeta match 6 wickets se aur Kohli ne us moment ko nahi chhoda. Dugout se nikal ke Rahul ke paas gaye aur wahi Kantara-style step kiya. Rahul ne point kiya stadium ke ek section ki taraf – jiska naam hai ‘Virat Kohli Stand’ – aur phir dono ne ek dusre ko gale lagaya. Koi tension nahi, bas healthy banter aur old friendship ka magic.
“This is a special place for me. That celebration was from one of my favourite movies, Kantara… This ground, this turf, this home is where I have grown up and that this is mine,” – KL Rahul on his celebration earlier.
Match mein Rahul ne 39 balls mein 41 runs banaye, lekin unka struggle clearly visible tha against RCB’s spin attack. Wahi Kohli ne phir se anchor ban kar chase ko sambhala, jab RCB 26/3 pe thi. Krunal Pandya ke saath milke banayi 119-run ki solid partnership.
Krunal Pandya ne slow start ke baad pace pakdi aur Kohli ke saath ban gaya match-winning duo. Kohli ne 47 balls mein 73 runs banaye, aur Tim David ne game ko finish kiya stylishly – 3 fours aur 1 six ke saath.
